Hello! I’m Sara Wolk and I’ve been doing place-making work for the last 11 years. My first real job was farming taro in Hawaii when I was 18 years old and haven’t been able to keep my hands out of the dirt since! While I’ve fallen firmly in love with farming I’ve consistently done gardening, stonework and natural building projects at the same time or between farms. These fields are all deeply connected and all of them fall under the guidance and inspiration of Permaculture Design. If you haven’t heard of it yet, Permaculture is a branch of ecological design, ecological engineering and environmental design which develops sustainable architecture and agricultural systems modeled from natural ecosystems. It’s very inspiring!
